Moving and copying nodes

Three options are available to move or copy nodes to other nodes:

• Move the node to another node.
• Copy the node structure only to another node.
• Copy the node and all its associated content to another node.

Nodes can be moved or copied by dragging and dropping or by selection.

Drag and drop method

On the Content page:

1. In the left panel Nodes tab, locate the node you wish to move.
2. Using the  handles, drag the node to the required node. If that node already has child nodes, you will need to expand it first.
3. On the Copy / Move page, select the required options and click the SUBMIT button. A confirmation message will be displayed in the banner.

Alternatively, you can select the destination node.

Moving a node

Use this procedure to move a single node to a different location:

1. In the left panel Nodes tab, locate the node you wish to move or copy, and select  Move / Copy Node from the  menu.
2. On the Move / Copy Node page, select the Move radio button.
3. Under Target Nodes, select the destination for the nodes to be moved to. 
4. Click the SUBMIT button; a confirmation message will be displayed in the banner.

Copying a node

Use this procedure to copy a single node to a different location:

1. In the left panel Nodes tab, locate the node you wish to move or copy, and select  Move / Copy Node from the  menu.
2. On the Move / Copy Node page, select either the Copy with content or Copy radio button.
3. Select the number of copies of the node you would like to make (if greater than one).
4. Under Target Nodes, select the destinations for the nodes to be copied to. 
5. Click the SUBMIT button; a confirmation message will be displayed in the banner.

Moving multiple nodes

Use this procedure to move multiple nodes to a different location:

1. In the left panel Nodes tab, select  Bulk Move / Copy from the  menu (next to the Sort by field).
2. On the Bulk Move / Copy page, select the Move radio button.
3. Under Select Source Nodes, select the nodes to be moved. You can select multiple nodes.
4. Under Target Nodes, select the destination for the nodes to be moved to. 
5. Click the SUBMIT button; a confirmation message will be displayed in the banner.

Copying multiple nodes

Use this procedure to copy multiple nodes to different locations.

1. In the left panel Nodes tab, select  Bulk Move / Copy from the  menu.
2. On the Bulk Move / Copy page, select the Copy with content or Copy radio button.
3. Under Select Source Nodes, select the nodes to be copied. You can select multiple nodes.
4. Select the number of copies of the node you would like to make (if greater than one).
5. Under Target Nodes, select the destinations for the nodes to be copied to. 
6. Click the SUBMIT button; a confirmation message will be displayed in the banner.
