Create layouts

Create a layout

When you create a template, the first layout is created automatically. It will contain the settings made in the template, which can be changed if required. See Edit layout properties.

To create additional layouts:

  1. Select the template in the Templates (left) pane.

  2. In the Tools panel on the right, click edit.png Create Layout (or just edit.png if the panel is collapsed).

  3. Click locale.png and select the locale for the layout.

  4. Give the layout a name and a title.

  5. Optionally:

    1. Under Destination Selection, leave All Devices selected.

    2. Under Default Rail Image Orientation, select the image orientation.

    3. Use Additional Properties to add any additional properties that are required for the layout.
These enable you to apply additional formatting to templates per your organisation's requirements.
Note: these key/value pairs are created by the operator and are not controlled by NAGRAVISION.

  6. Click Create Layout.

  7. In the confirmation dialog that is displayed, click Continue to save the layout.

Set the default layout

You can have multiple layouts within a template. Note that only one (the default layout) can be active at any time. This enables you to switch between layouts to display different content at different times.

For example, if you have a sports template, you could switch to a layout that promotes Premier League football on Saturdays, with a more general layout for use on other days. You will need to set one layout as the default for each template. If you do not, the template will not be active and will not be returned to clients making requests.

To set a layout as the default:

  1. Select the template in the Templates (left) pane.

  2. In the tile for the layout that you want to set as the default, click menu_black.png and then click default.png Set as Default.

  3. In the confirmation dialog that is displayed, click Continue to save the settings.

Duplicate a layout

To duplicate a layout:

  1. Select the template in the Templates (left) pane.

  2. In the tile for the layout that you want to duplicate, click menu_black.png and then click duplicate.png Duplicate Layout.

  3. The duplicated layout is opened for editing. Make any required changes, then click Create Layout.

  4. In the confirmation dialog that is displayed, click Continue to save the layout.
